Italian Minister of Health signs agreement with sport for all organisations

On the 22nd of January the Italian Minister of Health – Mrs Livia Turco – signed an agreement protocol together with a group of Italian associations involved in sport promotion activity: UISP, US ACLI and CSI. This document is focused on the synergy in communication and it is an important example of cooperation between an ISCA member and official institutions.

The protocol is a part of the program “Guadagnare salute” (“To gain health”): the main aim of this program – drawn up by a group of Italian Ministers - is the promotion of active lifestyle, the development of sport activity as a means for health prevention for children, for young and elderly people. Among the other goals of the program there are the information dissemination about proper nutrition and the reduction of use of tobacco and alcohol.

“Our idea of sport today is stronger than ever. This document confirms that our way is correct: sport for the wellness of citizen during all life. This official recognition strengthens our social role and our capacity to promote new life styles and events. Also “Diamoci una mossa” - a campaign against sedentary lifestyles of children in primary schools - is a good examples of positive partnership with the public administration”says Filippo Fossati, UISP National President (Picture below).
