Help shape education and training in sport for development: Take part in our online consultation
Coinciding with the International Day of Sport Development and Peace (IDSDP) on 6 April 2021, the partners of the Erasmus+ Sport-supported CHANGE project, including ISCA, have launched an industry-wide consultation on occupational standards that are applicable to people working in sport for development job roles.
Anyone working in the field of sport for development is invited to take the survey until 28 May. Even if you work outside of the EU, we still welcome your views, as Sport for Development is a global phenomenon. The survey consists of 11 questions and the amount of detail you provide in your responses is up to you. Click here to take part.
The new standards for sport for development practitioners developed through the project will help to define the area and establish new education and training opportunities that meet the needs of practitioners in this ever-changing and evolving part of the sport and physical activity sector.
Occupational standards can be used by employers to support workforce development, and can be used by education and training providers to develop new courses and qualifications to upskill both new and experienced practitioners.
Your views are vital to make the standards as comprehensive and relevant as possible.
A warm thank you in advance for your contribution and feel free to contact Ben Gittus from the European Obervatoire of Sport and Employment if you have any questions.
