FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL YOUTH AND HEALTH NEW-CALEDONIA, NOUMEA 2007
The Committee of the FIYHNC in partnership with ISCA organizes a Festival of Youth and Health of New Caledonia 2007. The festival takes place from 8th to 23rd of September 2007 in Noumea. The objective of this Festival is to share and promote to the children of the whole world, how our Ancestors populated Oceania with their Traditional Transport Ancestral Océanien "the Pirogue", a strong symbol of the Océanienne Culture.
40 000 to 60 000 years ago our Océaniens Ancestors pressed the old continent of Sunda (Southeast Asia) to reach Sahul (New Guinea, Australia and Tasmanie).
The National sport of New-Calédonia is "Mélanésien Cricket". There is also other sports in New-Calédonia, such as rugby, football and raider for the environmental protection. Also a forum of "Health" is included in the programme, to open discussion on the transmissible and not-transmissible diseases.
An exposition will take place under the sign of Oceania, telling how the Ancestors populated Oceania, with what kinds of boats they made the tour of the South Pacific and where did they pass.
