European Youth and Sport Forum 2008

Application procedure closed

The application procedure for the EYSF2008 has been closed on Thursday 02/10/2008 at 06.00 GMT +1. We are glad to state that 317 young people have applied to the Forum.

Applicants will be informed in regard to their selection latest until the 15/10/2008.

the youth action plan on sport and society

You are invited to participate in the European Youth and Sport Forum 2008. The forum will gather over 100 participants from across Europe to discuss the role of youth in sport. Built around the current EU sport agenda and the “White Paper on Sport”, the forum will put forward its perspectives on the role of youth in sport. Participants should be between 18-30 years old and bring some experience in youth, community or sport involvement to the Forum.

Date and venue

The forum will take place from the 1st to 6th of December 2008 in the French capital, Paris. Famous for its Eiffel tower, its architecture and often referred to as a city of romance, Paris will enable youth to show their true colours in sport. Transport-wise you will have plenty of options to find your way to Paris with two major airports and more than several European train connections. The forum will take place in the ‘House of Sport’, residence of the French Olympic and sport committee located next to the ‘Cité Universitaire’ (the University city) an ideal environment, vibrant and filled with youth energy.
