WHO

ISCA cooperates with the WHO and its initiatives in physical activity and obesity.  Our cooperation is based upon the capacity of ISCA member organizations to act as agents of change in regards to specific WHO concerns such as physical activity and obesity.  Most recently ISCA participated in the 2006 WHO Ministerial Conference on Counteracting Obesity in Istanbul.  Our participation included signing the Joint NGO Statement on the European Charter on Counteracting Obesity together with nine other organizations.
