Our networks

ISCA-Networks a new format for developing strategies

ISCA has developed the concept of as a new format to join international co-operation on topics of special interest for each member. National organisations should benefit from being part of inspirational and developing partnership within fields of action, which are of interest for own development strategies.
 
The following ISCA Networks are open for participation:
· Health and Sport Network
· Environment and Sport Network
· Facility Management Network
· General Gymnastic Network
· Badminton Network
· Youth Network
· Active Children Network
· Active Seniors Network



The ISCA-Networks will pursue particularly following main objectives

· To share knowledge, skills and experience between network partners.
· To build bridges for bi- or multilateral co-operation and partnership.
· To initiate and to run common projects.
· To improve the awareness of the respective network topic.
· To take care of co-operation with other stakeholders in the field of action.
· To improve the quality of actions.

Network membership

Organisations, going to become a member in the network, have to apply for membership through an informal letter to the ISCA office. Following criteria should be fulfilled

 

Common and strong interest in the topic of the network.
· Some knowledge and experience in this field of action.
· Appointment of a reliable contact person, who is able to communicate in English and who is involved in this field of action in his organisation.
· Willingness to play an active role within the network (e.g. to contribute to regular communication; to participate in meetings, workshops, seminars etc.).
· Willingness to put own resources (human, financial or organisational) into the measures of the network: e.g. organizing workshops/seminars/meetings; taking care for a newsletter; establishing a data-base on relevant literature, programmes and projects; translation or publishing materials; …

 


ISCA-Network Leadership and Management

ISCA-Networks will be steered by one or two organisations (Network Leaders)

 

The Network can operate and organise its work in the way the network partners find it most appropriate to reach the goals. The Network Leaders refer to the ISCA Executive Committee, which appoints a contact person out of its members.
The network leaders will be responsible mainly for the following tasks:

· Definition of the main objectives.
· Drawing up an activity plan and finding app. instruments to carry out the objectives.
· Keeping members active.
· Co-ordination of inputs from members.
· Giving stimulus for active commitment.
· Promotion of the network in co-operation with the ISCA office.
· Representation of the network to other stakeholders in this field of action.
· Keeping contact to ISCA Executive responsible person.
· Controlling/evaluation of the work steps.
· Appointment of a network manager.

Supporting the work of the network-leaders a network-manager should be appointed for constant involvement in administrative tasks (e.g. focal point of communication, mailings, distribution of requests) in co-ordination with the ISCA office.
